Automatic Maths Calculator for Handwritten Equations

I would really like Notewise to add an automatic calculator for handwritten maths.

The idea is that when I write a mathematical problem by hand and then put an “=” at the end, Notewise would recognise the equation and automatically calculate the answer.

For example:

25 × 4 = → 100

Or for more advanced maths:

3x + 7 = 22 → x = 5

It would be especially useful for students doing maths homework, because you could keep everything handwritten instead of having to open another calculator or app.

Ideally, it would recognise things like:

• Fractions

• Powers and roots

• Brackets

• Algebra

• Equations

• Trigonometry

• Basic arithmetic

It would also be great if the answer appeared neatly beside or underneath the handwritten calculation, while keeping the original handwriting unchanged.

A simple option in the settings could let users turn this feature on or off.

I think this would make Notewise much better for maths and science students, especially on tablets where handwriting is already one of the app's biggest strengths.
