I would really like to see a major improvement to the text editing experience in Notewise.
The current text box is very difficult to use for writing longer or continuous text. It would be much better if Notewise offered a text editor similar to Microsoft Word, where you can simply start typing, press Enter to create new lines and paragraphs, and continue writing naturally without having to manage a separate text box.
Text boxes are useful when you want to place a specific piece of text in a particular location on the page, but they should not be the only way to write continuous text. When taking notes or writing a document, having to work inside a text box makes the experience unnecessarily restrictive.
I would also like to see more basic text-editing and formatting tools, such as:
Numbered lists
Bulleted lists
Checklists
Another important issue is copying and pasting formatted text. For example, if I copy text from a website and paste it into Notewise, the formatting is often lost. It should be able to recognize things such as bold text, underlined text, headings, paragraphs, lists, and other basic formatting instead of converting everything into plain text.
The same problem happens with Markdown files. Although Notewise supports importing Markdown files, the imported content does not seem to preserve or properly interpret the Markdown formatting. It essentially becomes plain text instead of recognizing headings, bold text, lists, checklists, and other Markdown elements.
Overall, I think Notewise would be much more useful for serious note-taking if the text editor worked more like a real document editor while still keeping the flexibility of a note-taking app. Text boxes should remain available for situations where precise placement is needed, but there should also be a proper continuous text editor for writing normally.
