Hi Notewise team,
I’m currently trying Notewise after using Samsung Notes, and two things immediately impressed me: erasing with the S Pen button and automatically syncing changes across devices without having to press Save.
However, the distinction between “Note” and “Canvas” confused me enough that I needed an explanation.
To me, a “note” is something I write. A collection containing handwriting, PDFs, images, recordings and AI-generated content about one topic feels more like a notebook or a collection. Using “Note” for the overall collection and “Note view” for its structured presentation makes the distinction harder to grasp.
Could the interface distinguish these more clearly? For example:
Notebook or Collection for the overall container
Canvas / Writing pages for handwritten content
AI summary for a generated summary
Our slightly tongue-in-cheek favourite was “Scrapbook”: a place for notes, pictures and assorted material about a topic. An AI-powered scrapbook might actually be a pretty good description! 🙂
The exact name matters less than making the relationship clear without needing to consult the documentation. Even a short explanation when creating the first Note would help.
I’d be interested to hear how you arrived at the current terminology.
